B2 : Creative Industry Response'

Due to me not having access to certain people and equipment, I have considered using stock footage instead of getting the footage myself. For this, I sourced a clip from YouTube which is used in various different videos about Sunderland. I researched copyright and fair use policies. This was as follows: " Several exceptions allow copyright works to be used for educational purposes, such as: the copying of works in any medium as long as the use is solely to illustrate a point, it is not done for commercial purposes, it is accompanied by a sufficient acknowledgement, and the use is fair dealing. Here is my script, I wrote it on Celtx and separated each part into segments. I did this to give my documentary some structure, so I didn't get mixed up when recording. It's important to have a script, so I know exactly what I'm going to do. Every major film production has some sort of scripting, therefore I needed to do my own in order to remain professional. My script does not include my transitions and camera angles, I didn't include these on my script because I thought it would be unnecessary. Below is my storyboard along with the shots that I have taken to bring these drafts to life. These were drawn months before filming but I was able to successfully recreate what I had intended to shoot. The storyboard helped me visualise what I wanted the shots to look like as well as what kind of angle/shot size I would need to be able to successfully recreate them in real life. I think storyboards are a great way to communicate with your client and show them your ideas. Provisional equipment list before obtaining said items and any add on's. Most resources will be obtained closer to filming time. Doing this list helps to prepare and organise me and my potential team before going out and filming. This way, there is no having to go back for forgotten items. For shooting in my house  Due to me having my own equipment, I am able to film at home with no problems. I have all the equipment I need to film the shots I need. However, I want to film out and about more this time. For shooting at Sunderland Bowl It might be hard to film with a Tripod outside, so I might have to film free handedly. I do have experience of this, so I should be fine. However I could potentially use my old Samsung Galaxy S8+ to get some extra camera angles of me playing on the machines. These risk assessments are helping to identify what could potentially go wrong when shooting. This way, me and anyone I'm working with will be aware of potential hazards and ensure we carry out safe practice when filming. In identifying these hazards, I can also lower the risk of an accident occurring because of them. The following are two documents that are partially completed. This was their status before going to the location. I will be filling the rest of the form with the relevant contact at Sunderland Bowl and Sunderland City Centre. This form allows me to prove that I have permission to film on the premises so that an issue does arise around filming on their venue, I can back it up with this. Upon attending Sunderland Bowl, I enquired whether permission was needed to film in their building. I was told that I was free to film as long as I didn't film anyone who didn't give consent. Of course, that meant that I had a green light to film and didn't need written permission.

The following post contains my initial pitch for the Sunderland culture project, including my feedback and presentation. The pitch includes my initial ideas for my project and what they could like, a first draft of my target audiences and response to potential set backs. I conducted a focus group and explained my idea and how I plan to make it. I talk them through my PowerPoint and get them to give their opinions on my project.
