Pre-Production - Script

Here is my script, I wrote it on Celtx and separated each part into segments. I did this to give my documentary some structure, so I didn't get mixed up when recording. It's important to have a script, so I know exactly what I'm going to do. Every major film production has some sort of scripting, therefore I needed to do my own in order to remain professional.

My script does not include my transitions and camera angles, I didn't include these on my script because I thought it would be unnecessary. Not to mention, I did this script mainly for reference, so I might not repeat everything word for word.

MY UPDATED SCRIPT

WHAT CHANGED AND WHY

Soundtrack Changes: I decided to not use all I really want because I felt like it didn't fit the tone of the shots I had taken. It is a very festive track, and this documentary isn't very festive. I instead chose Lakey Inspired - Better Days because it was more fitting. I also decided to ditch Vaporwave Furret, because it's very lethargic tone didn't fit my ending. I instead used Lakey Inspired - Chill, because it's a lot more up beat. I also chose to add Groove Day, Homers Day, and Hyperfun because I thought adding more music would help with the flow of the documentary.

Segment Changes: I made segment 5 into segment 2, because it went hand in hand with segment 1. I was discussing my own experience with content creation in the first segment, so it made sense for me to discuss how I implement regional identity into my content right after. I decided to make segment 3 into a more broad discussion about content creation in Sunderland, then transition into the segment where I make the video. Not to mention, I merged segment 4 and segment 6 because I moved segment 3. This meant I could analyse my results and conclude the documentary.

Segments After Changes

Segment 1 - My Experience With Content Creation
Segment 2 - Do I Implement Regional Identity Into My Content
Segment 3 - Content Creators From Sunderland
Segment 4 - Making A Video In Sunderland
Segment 5 - Conclusion

Conclusion

By writing these scripts, I am making sure I am well prepared for production. My script will help me stay on track, and cover everything. I made two drafts of this script, because I decided that the first draft wasn't as focused on content creation as I would have liked.

I want to make sure I have a solid understanding of what I'm going to say, so making these scripts will really help with that. Celtx is a really good program for creating scripts, because the layout is really professional. This is good for professional practice.
